Modern Graffiti Feb 22 The idea has been haunting me since I started my second year of college. Maybe it was a mechanical dynamics class, maybe the lack of urban art in Chicago (graffiti), maybe just a night with some extra time and imagination… If you are (un)fortunate enough to be crossing the street at the right moment, which happens every once in a while, the train rushes above your head making every single inch of your body resonate in unharnessed energy. The idea is quite simple, create a small generator capable of converting some of the vibrations of the train and power a LED… REPEAT until you message is alive. This poster was inspired by Anderson Group’s work
