Perspective Explorations by Sebastian Morales

Objects seem bigger the closer they are to us, we all know that. But what if we could take advantage of this fact to make the object change its apparent geometry? Here this shape transforms from a circle to a square and back

3D View- Displaying Perspective by Head Tracking (2 year ago) by Sebastian Morales

Today I found this project I was working on two years ago, I remember it being a one night event and quite a fun night:

"Using a Kinect and Processing I wanted to create a realistic three dimensional experience, an intuitive way to look at digital models, so lets get rid of the mouse and pretend pixels are physical particles in our physical universe.
For this experiment I used points instead of a full render model just to facilitate things for my computer, she’s been having moods lately.
Here you can see a real time screen recording of Suzanne, as I walk through the room, the kinect keeps track of the location of my head, immediately rotating the model of Suzanne; and although it looks a little confusing from this angle wait till you see it from my perspective."
