My favorite time at the Pier happens around sunrise. The floors and shops, normally bursting with life are fully quiet. Even the bay seems asleep except for the occasional monstrous container ship entering into the bay. The city reflects on the water while the dark sky catches fire. It's a new day, you haven't slept and in just a couple of hours this place will be crowded again, no one ever noticing something amazing happened just a few hours before.

In 2019 I decided to re-create this wave using 3D printing methods instead of CNC machining. This time however, I want the surface to reflect light just as a water wave would. This is an ongoing process of experimentation and lots of fine sanding.
